Christmas in a Wagonette
This weekend the Dickens Fellowship hosted Gerald Dickens, great great grandson of the author, who acts and gives dramatic readings of his ancestor's literature. One of the activities offered were rides around town in our wagonette. The day was lovely and just the right temperature for a team of horses in their winter coats to work. We enjoyed the event very much!
I never got to own a horse as a child, and realized at midlife that I needed to do something about that. I never thought I would end up having such a great opportunity to share this love with employees and the public to the extent that I have. It is an expensive, intensely demanding business with regular doses of magic amidst the dirt.
