Today Randy brought his fiance, Nancy, on a special carriage ride during her visit to the area. The weather wasn't too freezing, and Curley wasn't too tooo dirty this time. It is really hard to clean him up when the weather is cold- not shower weather- and his winter coat is so long and thick. We did just this one ride, so Curley got home in time for all the horses coming in for supper. We left the farm at 11 and got home at 4 and did a one hour ride. Thank you, Randy, for asking us to help make your visit special. It was fun to go around the McIntire district at Christmas time.

International Wedding- Thomas and Vicki

I sometimes have the surprise of a call from Europe when someone finds my service online and wants to arrange a special event. Thomas and Vicki were planning an elopement, a marriage at Hallibut Point followed by a picnic lunch with their friends and, finally, a romantic ride with champagne along the coast. I worked with them, sending a suggested route map, and some pictures. On the appointed day, they arrived at our meeting point looking very fine indeed. We traveled a nice long route from Cape Hedge all the way back to town, following the beaches. It was a beautiful day. Long life to this handsome couple.

Christmas in a Wagonette

This weekend the Dickens Fellowship hosted Gerald Dickens, great great grandson of the author, who acts and gives dramatic readings of his ancestor's literature. One of the activities offered were rides around town in our wagonette. The day was lovely and just the right temperature for a team of horses in their winter coats to work. We enjoyed the event very much!
